They're here! Political mailers, lots of them. I got this one from the Sharp campaign late last week. I wonder how much it cost to send this 11x17 piece out to everyone in the Sixth District:
I hope no one in the district thinks he really looks like this!

No matter how much they photoshop...you have to ask yourself something:
Just because he "serves" (decades), does that mean he really DID anything?
When you know the answer, you'll be ahead of the curve.
Stay warm out there.
I've seen him. I thought this picture was from an earlier campaign. Maybe the one for state rep. He doesn't look like that now.
Anon: You might be right! He also looks like he is thinner now than in this photo. Still combs over tho--LOL!
Bob G:
Mr. Sharp has a mixed record. In some things he has done well, and he is a bit of a Libertarian--witness his stand against over regulating folks wanting to sell produce from home--but he has not managed money well. He hurt the financials in the Hickman Mills schools and at the now defunct ambulance service MAST. Some think he is too quick to kowtow to the developers looking for tax breaks. He will be back, despite the anti incumbent mood, as his opposition for his in-district race is an unknown.
Thanks for coming by all.

no candidate mails to everyone in the district. he has a specific list of frequent voters that probably amounts to about 8,000 homes. The mailer he sent probably cost about $6,000.
Yup, frequent voter, that's me. I've also been summoned for jury duty twice. Small price to pay for a system that so far has allowed us peaceful transitions of power and a bit of choice on who our leaders are. :-)
