Haiti needs immediate prayer!
As if an earthquake, cholera and governmental and bureaucratic bungling isn't enough for this poor country...
...Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier returned to Haiti today.
Some people actually welcomed him--a sure sign of desperation. They should have run him and his girl friend right back up the jet way. Hopefully, his presence will not create more problems for the country. Here's the news from the Miami Herald, from which this screen grab was made.

I saw this on the news today. My guess is that it is a timing issue.
Renewed focus on Haiti's continued plight is sure to bring additional aid to the country, yet enough time has passed to keep the details of the situation off of the radar.
As you mentioned, enough people are frustrated to the point that they didn't turn him around.
Timing is everything. They should have strung him up when they had the chance, he is an evil man.
Yup, I agree with Captain Schmoe.
Peeps:
It seems as if there is some desire to press charges against Duvalier in Haiti. It doesn't seem as if he was able to just walk in and get what he wanted.
Have to wonder also: Is he broke? He might have been looking for some hidden riches, or to collect on a debt.
He should have a trial. If he is found guilty, he should serve a sentence.
